Granite padlock ABUS 37ST/55 - the padlock for demanding outdoor applications.

The 37ST/55 Granit can be used to securely lock halls, doors and gates near water as well as boats. The body and shackle of the lock are made of stainless steel, which means it will never rust even in harsh weather conditions. The ABUS-Plus disc cylinder additionally ensures a very high level of protection against manipulation attempts. The production is carried out according to the European standard CEN class 4. The Granit product series is manufactured in Germany. The key with built-in LED is particularly practical for use in the dark. Granite locks are available with either a code card for quick and easy duplication of keys or with a security card for full control over the number of keys in circulation.

Our ABUS Granit padlocks have been developed using specifications laid down by Swedish insurance companies, which are known for their extremely high standards. In the case of the European CEN standards, which are also incredibly demanding, Granit locks are regularly classified at the highest levels.

Granit locks have a tensile resistance of over six tonnes, making it almost impossible for attackers to release the shackle from the lock body by force. The special ABUS Plus locking system is extremely effective at preventing manipulative break-in attempts such as picking.

Even violent attacks on the cylinder are prevented, as a steel plate located in front of the cylinder opening stops drill bits from taking hold. Granit locks have a special black coating on the body and shackle that offers very high levels of corrosion protection. All these characteristics ensure that Granit padlocks are among the most secure in the world.

The special coating on the Granit locks offers a high level of resistance to corrosion. However, some applications have even more specific requirements. For outdoor use near salt water, in extreme weather conditions or in other corrosive industrial environments we recommend the new Granit 37ST/55. This lock is made entirely of stainless steel and therefore cannot rust. Of course, the new version still includes all the other features that make Granit locks so special, such as the ABUS Plus cylinder and the extremely high tensile resistance.

Key copy protection – duplicate keys can only be obtained by presenting a security card
All Granit locks are also available as an “SZP version”. This version is supplied with a security card that contains information about how to create key copies. It is important to note that additional keys can only be created if this card is presented to the locksmith in person.

This ensures that the lock’s owner or the person in possession of the card has full control over how many copies of their key are actually in circulation.
